The FAME DJS9000 Djembe Stand - robust construction and individually adjustable height! The 9000 series: high quality at a great pr… All product information
Yeah thanks @GERALD that’s exactly the style I’m looking for
I think I’m gonna start with a stand like that
Thanks a lot @simon for your really constructive feedback, it really helped me confirm my choice I reckon the Didgeridoo-Passion stand will be mine when I get my little music studio set up, so the djembe stand will do the job for now for rehearsals
Hi,
Yes it’s the same one and I’m not hiding it at all on the site, but I’m actually doing much more than just modifying the strap: Didgeridoo Passion transforms this tripod for you (sourced from the percussion world), modifies the tablet so it can adapt to small bells: drilling, threading and protective felt. Changes to the dimensions of the clip system to allow you to play standing or sitting in complete freedom.
On top of that I do several other modifications: tightening the upper blocks and most recently modifying the tablet to attach the microphone clip support.
Indeed the price isn’t the same but neither is the basic function ^^
Just so you know, when you were into photography, your tripod seemed to me like it was sold at a fair price for a good tripod. And I’m honestly satisfied with it
Hey, not totally necessary but I felt like doing a little customization of the stand after Jaime’s visit, here are my ideas:
a groove routed out with a piece of gasket to protect the top of the didge
two small slots where I’ve slipped in some velcro from the shop display to hold rolled-up electrical cables for example, soft side against the didge. it’s great because it holds super well, it’s gentle on the surface and you can remove it incredibly easily.
just one of the two hooks for the bottom of the didge (idea passed on by Jaime), because the default spacing was a bit wide for my bell. with just one hook no problem ever!
4 extra small holes to screw the board above the original stand.
Is this the Didgeridoo Passion mic stand? I just ordered the mic support. Since my tripod is older than when the mic support came out on the market, I sent the plate to Grég who’s going to drill and tap the missing holes in the middle for me.
For the recorder cable, I’ll see how to sort it once I’ve got all the gear.
I know this tripod, I think it’s the one I have.
It swivels by default, you just need to drill new holes in the support plate to reposition the hooks more toward the center so they fit around a didgeridoo diameter
Hey everyone,
I’m coming back to this topic too
I ordered a Djembe tripod DJS9000 from Music Store
It’s great and works perfectly with my didge,
Adjustable tilt of course but also swivels left and right!!! I expected I’d have to make some modifications but nope
Just gonna add some round pipe foam padding to better frame my didge but I’m super happy and all for 39.30€
Happy to share some pics if someone tells me how to post them lol …. I only get text when I upload them
I have the one from Didgeridoo Passion. I don’t use it much because I find it quite heavy and, especially, it doesn’t allow me to play on the ground. So you necessarily have to sit on a chair or play standing up. Me, I only play on the ground.
I did try to shorten it by cutting as much length as possible from the central stem, but that’s not enough to play on the ground.
The only option I see for those who like ground contact when playing is to make yourself a more minimalist wooden stand, something like this:

If they’re not uploading, it might be because they’re too large — if that’s the case you’ll need to resize them before posting them on the forum (you can do that with Windows « Paint »).
